Top Five Premium Cabins I'm Excited For in 2025

I've had the privilege to fly a few world-class Business and First Class flights, and I feel like I've seen enough to not become unduly excited at the thought of a premium cabin. That being said, I'm expecting some life milestones over the next year or so, and here are my celebration-worthy picks that are worth checking off the bucket list in 2025:
5. LH F - The Lounge Terminal
LH's 2-2 seating in J has been subject to plenty of grumblings, including myself when I flew my first upper-deck flight in 2021. I'd love the chance to redeem LH Group's premium cabins in my eyes by flying in the nose of a 747-8, and what better way to do that after experiencing the only dedicated First Class terminal in FRA and being chauffeured across the tarmac?
4. NH F - Maximum Value
Japan is absolutely my favorite destination, and I was lucky enough for the Room was my first experience in a truly luxury J product, and to this day the pinnacle of maximum value redemptions has got to be ANA First Class. Notoriously difficult to book, this is definitely worth a reposition from NYC.
3. JAL A35K F - New Plane Smell
My only experience with JAL is in J on 3-wide 777. While it's wild to me to even have a middle seat in a five-star J product, you still do get aisle access (unlike EK's 777), and being in the middle is actually nicely private if both your seatmates put dividers up. That being said, their fresh off the line Airbus A350-1000 is the absolute freshest F seat available right now.
2. EK A380 F - The Shower
In 2024 I flew EK F on their fifth freedom route ATH-EWR, which was incredible. I'd love to round out my Emirates experiences with their legendary in-flight shower, and will be keeping an eye their MXP-JFK route through 2025, as I don't otherwise have plans for visiting Dubai.
1. SQ Suite - The Double Bed
Double Bed in the sky, what else is there to say? Although SQ sadly no longer flies their A380 to New York, as of 2024 there are some great low-key routes to experience the best product for couples: LHR, SYD, or DEL. Mainly Miles has a great site tracking which routes you can book the Suite.
Frequent flyers and points nerds pride themselves on myriad terms, acronyms, and shortenings. Typically, this is just for convenience and not from a desire for illegibility.
